Hope you’ve been beating the heat. It has been rough here on the hot weather stuff. I’ll be glad when fall weather gets here! I can get warm a lot easier than I can get cool.

I’m still trying to get settled in here. There’s just too much reactive politics going on in our prison system here. I wonder if it is the same in other institutions around the land. Believe me when I say that this is no place to be. Prison is a mean joke society plays on its offenders, and the horror of it all is that it seems to be a profitable enterprise and therefore will continue on as long as it provides a profit. Such corruption you wouldn’t believe. I can’t believe how much the system has degenerated, or perhaps it’s just that I can see more clearly now. It’s scary!
